so, i've been in a 54mm slump recently (stupid marine shoulderpads. how do they attach?!) and so had hte opportunity to pick up some Tale Of War on the cheap  ;D

i plumped for the delectable Alice

thinking maybe of adding some weapon, some imperial iconography as she scales rather well

(remember she's leaning forward)

so, keeping the cat separate (Grynx maybe?), what should i do to help her fit in with the Inquisitor Feel?
I've got no plans at all so am welcome to suggestions :)

That cat is soooo cool!  I've wanted to do a cybernetic grinning chesire cat for ages (I love the Alice books). I may well have to buy that model just to get the cat...

I'll go halves with you and take Alice, if you want!

I see her hefting an improbably-large chainsword, myself.

I would have said yes to that offer, but Gav proposed a trade so I'm now the proud owner of an evil looking kitty cat!  :)  Now to finish the two warehouses and then I can think about converting him...

Have you decided how to convert Alice yet Gav?

nope; she's still sat in her lil baggie, sans kitty  ;D

's a good plan R, i'm tempted to have a sword of some description, point on the floor, her leaning on the hilt but just can't get a solid idea in my head of what i want to do with the rest of her..  :'(

The crowd is cheering for the improbably large chainsword   ;).
I had better point out, that some of the clubs I represent are of a military bent.

You know what you are?  A plywood shark!

Go Blanchian - so the Giant and EXTREMELY POINTY chainsword  - Spikes all up the back and the like - then the front relatively normal, keeping the prettiness, but the back COVERED in needles through skin, syringes, tubes, maybe some kind of parchment/vellum/human vellum with "DEATH" and so on on it...

I think I actually might just have a pair of eviscerators at home Gav if you're interested. I can check tonight if you like?

that'd be awesome if you could have a look  8)
and of course, think of stuff you'd like to trade for  ;)

If not, I recommend the Artemis sword... The first two swords are too clearly elfin/eldar, and the curved one is a bit oddly proportioned...

I like the curvy one, if you are going with one of the swords in the pics. If not, have you considered the arcogflallagents decapitators? they might look nicely outsized and insane.

psycho

actually i prefer the curved one.....seems to accentuate her pose....but up to you dude

well, the straight-sword did kinda remind me of This but with a chainsword (as it's stereotypically 40k) and her lower hand running lovingly up the flat of it would add that unnatural feeling :)

I think that it would look so much better if you had her holding the sword at the angle of the thing (whatever it is meant to be) that the original model is holding, with the point resting on the ground (or where the ground would be if the sword didn't extend beyond the edge of the base.)
