The eldar soulstone is an idea, certainly.  I do think 40K bounty hunters are allowed to be nutjobs though - we've all resorted to cliche on occasion!

Am only just scanning through quickly, but the things I've picked out are:

B.A.R.T. seems a little weak to me, for such an advanced piece of equipment I'd imagine him to have a bit of power behind him.

I think the forcefield on the barman is pretty badass, especially backed up with deflect shot, I mean not having to dodge bullets is pretty hardcore. You could also have the conversion field 'overload' at will for some penalty if he finds himself in a tough spot, ie. he can make it have the photon flash effect at will(1 action) but it only prevents D6 damage for the next turn. I've always thought(wanted) a conversion field should be able to do something like that.
Equally dodge does fit with the ex-assassin thing.

Not much to say on Nos'tko, just that he's looking good.

Can't think of much for madness/psychopathic behaviour in One-eye besides the good old drugs. He doesn't have to be on them either, it could be the after effects of taking them in his past.

@ Myriad - I think I will go with the soulstone, though Brother_Brimstone did raise the idea of One-eye being effected by tau water caste pheromones which were mentioned in xenology...so will mull over both options

@ Dumdeedum - I see what you mean about B.A.R.T but I think given that the range finder halves all penalties to shooting and he has increased movement, I think that makes him quite deadly, being able to rush into close range and unleash a possible 180 rounds into one character or group of characters is some serious firepower, though I think I will tweak him a bit possibly, maybe an upped Initiative.....shall see

Also really like the deliberate overload idea!

Short story for Karnegie One-eye and his stats and some equipment, doing this without the rulebook so can't do all details but will edit later.


The cold dank from the walls, added a sincere malovelence to the bunkers interior; the damp grey walls glistened with the creeping dark and the hum of acrid air resonated slowly within its walls. The slow, shuffling footfalls betrayed the fears of the PDF officers, who's shadow edged there way along the walls, cast thin and tall in the hazy half light.

The buzz in the air grew with great despondence as their sweat drenched brows and nervous fingers approached the battered plastell doors; a buzz accompanied by a flashing crackle and  low muttered tone of great intent. The four officers fanned out as they approached the doors, with the senior presence approaching the centre, laspistol raised in defiance of dread.

With tumultuous bravado that only the foolish possess they burst into the grey circular atrium, keening voices shouting the Emperor's law cut dreadfully short, choking on a magnitude of fear that froze their triggers fingers still and their eyelids open.

The splattered crunch of bones and sinewy flesh were marred only by the anatomical references whispered in a soothing tone that conferred great interest, and the smothered moans of agony that emitted from the pulp of human flesh inhabiting the steel table.

Motionless, the four PDF officers last thoughts were consumed by the madness gleaming in the blood-surgeons eye, and by the glowing sphere of ethereal light that emanated from a stone on his forehead.

As the moans from the flesh pile were cut short by a flash of cauterising and incinerating light, the sibiliant words 'Fresh meat' were hurled through bloodied lips, as the bright humming blade flashed through frozen bone and loosened bowel.

Hope you like it. For reference, the stone in his forehead is an eldar soulstone that he pillaged from an eldar corpse after wiping out some eldar in an attack whilst working as a Gue'vassa human soldier for the Tau. He then comes into the employ of the Barman as the barman has scouted him as a potential member of his 6th circle group of killers.
