Back in the heyday of =I=, i know the gw website let you look at and order -i- parts seperatley.. there doesnt seem to be an option anymore- is it still possible?

Also, leading to my main question, im looking to make an imperial guard veteran character, but the central part was that he would wield a lasgun single handed with a bionic arm (like the old talon merc character, which, again, isnt on the website)- any chance i could still buy this seperately?

P.S sorry if theres a load of threads like this, i tried searching....

HI btw :P

Welcome!*

the best place to go for Inquisitor-specific parts is The Arcadian Smugglers Ring which is great for trading / buying from.
BIts And Kits are good for generic GW plastics, many of which fit Inquisitor well :D

i make no apologies, i warned you my ability to roll ones was infectious...

Welcome to the Conclave!

There is a long and quite understandable explanation for why GW nerfed the bits range completely and have replaced it with the bitz packs. The big downside for us being the near-complete removal of a number of the Inquisitor weapon and accessory packs.

So the short answer is no, there is no longer any official way to order individual parts from metal kits.

As Gav says though, you can go to places like Bitzbox, Bits&Kits and Battlewagon bits to get individual parts from a large number of the GW plastic kits. A surprisingly large number of which are perfectly suitable for Inquisitors 54mm scale.

GW struck a handful of the remaining Inquisitor models off at the same time as the bitz orders were removed not long before the new website was launched. So Talon and the Vindicare Assassin (which were only available from the US for some reason) disappeared completely from the range at that time.
It's all fun and games until someone shoots their own guy with a Graviton gun instead of the MASSIVE SPIDER.

My understanding was that the Vindicare suffered a terminal mold malfunction (someone dropped it), and only the Mail Order US store had backstock...

Bits Packs come up for suprisingly little on Ebay every now and then - weapons, arms, heads, and other spare parts. And, of course, entire models do too.
Questions are a burden to others, answers a burden to oneself.

shame it makes conversion for a game that (IMO) almost completely relies on conversions :S

It doesn't really make conversion that difficult - the P&M forum is full of interesting, original and imaginative models made of models that are still available from GW (and if you include non-GW models then the possibilities are almost endless).
I like to remember things my own way... Not necessarily the way they happened.
