@ Quickdraw -

No problem, i look forward to seeing the revised BS. (lol). As I said, you shouldn't discount marines because they are fun, but i would definitely be sure of the rest of your team before you looked at marines. I am currently trying to upscale a scout marine (its not going well) you might know the guy, sniper with a cloak crouching and wearing a pair of goggles. is an older metal mini that I'm trying to make into a bigi.  I'll let you know how it goes.

@ Marco -

Aren't you just a font of knowledge. That's usually my thing but not in the warhammer lore. I'm a little jealous.

@ Dapper -

...maybe if it was wielded by an Ork and it believed that the weapon was more immune...?

Marco knows all. After all, he is Inquisitor-Archivist.

I don't go along with the later interpretation of the psychic Ork theory as being that all Ork tech is make-believe-made-real. Instead, I go with the original - the Waagh field stops things from failing, not makes them work. So a shoota has to be able to shoot. With an Ork, in the psychic field of self-belief generated by Orks, it won't jam. With a human, away from that field, it will, and probably quite often - though not all the time.
Questions are a burden to others, answers a burden to oneself.

Well, normally the Lathe upgrade also increases a weapon's damage and penetration (and they're also automatically master crafted), and I suspect it was deliberately excluded for game reasons to avoid super power weapons.

Of course, a particularly beautiful explanation would tie into the idea of a disruption field Faraday cage like I mentioned earlier - it's simply not possible to make a Lathe alloy power weapon, because it would cancel out its own field!

As far as the Ork thing, but not to get too far off topic:

The "Anzion Theorem of Orkoid Mechamorphic Resonant Kinetics" - in my opinion, it doesn't exist.
I think that it's part of the Orks' inherent knowledge, meaning that they instinctively understand how to operate their machinery in "the right way" that stops it failing. The red vehicles are a placebo - either they think it'll go faster, so they tend to drive it more aggressively, or perhaps simply the Mek subconsciously chose the one that was faster as the one he'd paint red.

The idea came from the writings of a Genetor who even his peers think is prone to wild speculations, and which has been generously exaggerated over the years. Not exactly the most reliable source.

In any case, no matter how hard an Ork believes, he's never going to be able to shoot you with a banana.
S.Sgt Silva Birgen: "Good evening, we're here from the Adeptus Defenestratus."
Captain L. Rollin: "Nonsense. Never heard of it."
Birgen: "Pick a window. I'll demonstrate".

But I bet the Ork could knock someone on their duffs if he threw it at 'em.  HAHA   ;D

Awareness- The old saying goes "two heads are better than one".  They're right!  Add 20% to all awareness tests.  Also the twins field of vision is a total of 90 degrees, 45 degrees in opposite directions.

Robust- The twins have an extraordinary cicatrization system. Their physiology allows them to heal at an accelerated rate compared to most sapient species.  Minor injuries often heal so fast it's like it never happened. The regrowth of amputated limbs however is not possible. Given enough time though, acute injuries will return to full functionality without help.  Though this is beyond the scope of any one skirmish. The same unique physiological process has left the twins looking youthful for decades.  The only drawback of this appears to be a ravenous appetite. * The twins add +20 to their Toughness when working out their base Injury value. During the recovery phase the twins gain D6 points back rather than D3. The twins also gain the True Grit ability.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have a new character, equipment and abilities I would like to share with you all.  He hails from a backwater planet known as Okoee in the southern rim of Segmentum Pacificus sector. Technology has regressed back to the Iron age due to constant Dark Eldar raids and no off-world imports for nearly nine centuries.  It has such little resource value it's not even a minor priority to the Imperium.  Left alone in the dark on a harsh world the Okoeeains have survived by being tough and resourceful. Large Sabertooths and Wyverns roam the land picking off stray villagers. Only the strong and stronger survive.  Travelers have come to reclaim the world for the Imperium and open trade only to never be heard from again.
Saul Moonshadow– Feral Mystic Warrior
Equipment: Wyvern's Diamond Hide armor all locations but head; Primitive Rune Axe (from Wyvern teeth, bone, sinew and Eldritch scrap metal); Talismans (as Psychic Foci); Spirit bag (contains Herbal Filtration wrap, 9 doses of Kjarma's claw snuff and 5 Cinder Wart root chews); 3 throwing knives w/Choke toxin.
Exotic Abilities: Mystic
Special Abilities: Mighty Blow, Survivalist Instinct and Dodge.
Psychic Abilities: Warp Strength, Beast Master, Spirit Walk (as Future Imperfect), and Regenerate
WS 69      BS  45      S  60       T  62       I  69       Wp  66     Sg 43     Nv  64      Ld 54
Wyvern's Diamond Hide armor- Light Carapace armor (+5)
Herbal Filtration wrap- +10% to resistance test vs gas.
Kjarma's claw- A claw from the Kjarma ground to a fine powder, mixed with grain alcohol and dried in a cool dry place. As Spur inhaler.
Cinder Wart root- A little wild plant with yellow and red flowers that when the root is chewed the digestive system reacts to the juice as poison. The body sweats profusely, expels all the contents of the stomach and the anti-bodies/anti-histamines triple in the blood stream.  But the little yellow and red flowered plant is really not toxic. As De-tox injector.
Survivalist Instinct- All young Okoeeians are taught that if the Razortooth, Wyverns and neighbors don't get you. The environment will! Add 10% to all tests to resist environmental effects.
Mystic- All psychic powers must be spoken out loud for any effect(s) to take place, including nullification. If his mouth is gagged, wearing a re-breather or filled with the barrel of a gun. He may not cast any powers. If he concentrates before casting a psychic power in this manner and the attempt fails he may re-roll it. The spoken incantations only reassure him of his own beliefs. Force weapons however only increase his potential and are not subject to this rule. Mystics are in general fearful of technology they don't understand. He will not touch or use "Sky People" weapons (guns and energy weapons). They are cursed items and will corrupt your soul. Advanced machinery puts him ill-at-ease. If Saul is forced to use, operate or even trapped by it. He must immediately pass a nerve test or be stunned for the remainder of that turn. However, hand operated machinery, primitive, basic melee and throwing blades are ok.
Hope you enjoy.
Thanks,
josh
Every time I see a math word problem in the warp it looks like this:
If I have 10 ice cubes and you have 11 apples. How many pancakes will fit on the roof?
Answer:  Purple because Tyranids don't wear hats.   :P
Quickdraw McGraw
Hello all,
I have a few more characters to post but I'm afraid I've already made it difficult to read my posts. Sorry about posting that huge wall of text above this post.  I like to make-up my own equipment and in-depth backstories.
I'm not sure what I should do.  Should I post the next characters and backstories in their own topics?  Or should I post all their stats in one topic and the backstories in another?
I don't want to make the same mistake twice.  I really do what to share my ideas and characters to the forum.  And I enjoy the feed back as I'm something of an artist you might say.  :)
Thanks for your help,
Josh
