Woop! got my base model to finish my Dark Eldar warband.

Not too much to do. Remove the sword, add a destructor. Using a blaster from a metal DE 40K model, should work well.
Model a scissor hand - Wondering whether using the agoniser from the old Archon 40K model makes things too easy - its also a little on the big side oddly.

EDIT: And he needs a new face - preferably someone elses. not sure how to go about that atm.

That should make a brilliant base. Can't wait to see it done. :)

I wouldn't use the Archon's hand. Apart from being too big, it just doesn't look all that scissorhand-y to my eye. Given that this chap was the inspiration, you might want to aim for something a bit... weirder. If you happen to have one of Cherubael's hands to spare, grafting some blades to it would be just the ticket. Failing that, you could always take our friend Eddie's example and make the hand nothing but blades. Shouldn't be too difficult to find adequate materials if you've got a bitz box of any size at all.
Only the insane have strength enough to prosper; only those who prosper may truly judge what is sane.

I'd agree that the Archon's hand isn't a great choice. Although, to suggest an alternative, for my 2009 Conclave Hobby Competition entry, I used a Necron Flayed One claw to represent a type of agoniser. If you want something with longer blades, the Necron Wraith hands are marginally longer. Alternatively, with a bit of creative cutting, it's not too difficult to make blade-fingered gauntlets/gloves with plasticard...

(Purely for illustrative purposes, here is the aforementioned hobby competition entry, to let you see the flayed one clawhand...)

But on the subject of the base model, it's certainly a good starting point. However, it might take quite a bit of work to make it immediately recognisable as a Dark Eldar haemonculus.... But then again, it's supposed to be challenging... nobody does these sorts of projects because they're easy. :P
"Somehow, Inquisitor, when you say 'with all due respect,' I don't think that you mean any respect at all."

"I disagree, governor. I think I am giving you all of the respect that you are due..."

Thats a really good part. I have partially now solved that though with the blades from 40K splinter rifles.
Just to green stuff a glove/strap on the hand.

Modelled a destructor and added a face to the skull. The splinter pistol from an Incubi makes a good combat drug injector.

I should get you a picture really.

It is a very interesting and creepy model. He obviously did a lot of experimenting on himself.
Circles of the wise My attempt at writing something, please comment on it if you have any advise.
