Hello All,

I have just fund this forum. I'm Bernhard from Austria and not a big gamer, but I like this WH world. I Bretter paint figures, sometimes sculpt something. My latest work is this figure. Maybe you like it.

Thanks,
Bernhard

Welcome to the Conclave!

That looks awesome.

What method did you use to sculpt it?

Lord Varrys

Thank you my friend!

I used Milliput and Pro Create and a little bit green stuff - Milliput mix. First I made the body and the accessories to watch the right positions, and after it I built up the textures of cloth etc. Later I cut it for molding and finished. On the pictures you can see a primed resin cast.

That's really impressive. The lack of iconography's actually rather nice, as he could become either a bona fide Imperial soldier, a Traitor Guardsman, or a Gue'vesa auxiliary with very little extra work. I like him.

Wow that's awesome, wish I could do half as well

Also I agree koval the lack of identifying marks or icons really make this model, so many possibilities  :)

Lord Varrys

Thanks All for rhe kind words! More possibilities by painting for me was important too. The imperial guard's soldiers aren't so far from the armys of nowday.

To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a Heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.

Fantastic Work, looks great. It also looks ripe for Converting and all sorts of fun.

.Very. nice and clean.

And not IP infringing, hey?

May yet survive GW killing the line.

Lord Varrys

Thanks a lot for the kind words! My friend is working on the paintjob yet.  ;)

I mean it looks amazing without having any Imperial Aquila, purity seals, marks or other Copyright issues I can see, except perhaps the lasgun.
So if it should happen to accidentally fall into some silicon and get casted a few times for the benefit of 54mm modelers around the world, you wouldn't be hunted down by lawyers.

Well done that man.

As for killing the line - current stocking and such seems to indicate GW has no intention of maintaining any of the Specialist Games lines, so it's good to know that there are more good-looking, visually-appropriate miniatures being sculpted by non-GW-affiliated people, meaning Inquisitor has a fresh supply of models to play it with.

Thanks for your words. Yes maybe I make a short run release. I'm thinking about it yet.
My main question was the other sentence with the IP.

IP = Intellectual Property

That's what I meant when I said you are safe from lawyers etc. - you are not infringing on GW's intellectual property and copyrights.

And, if you did successfully make a small batch of casts, I think there would probably be a good number of buyers here on The Conclave.
