Greetings all!
So! after lurking around these hallowed conclave hallways for some time now, I have finally managed to get back to the UK, open up the old Inquisitor box of goodies and start rebuilding my old characters!

Many of these were made and painted by me at the time when Inquisitor was just starting, so please go easy on my painting! That said, any comments are most welcome!
I also managed to find my old sketchbook with some rather scribbly looking concept art for characters too, if anyone is interested!

My current aim it to reinvent redesign and repaint many of the old characters....
and so on with the pics!

First up is Kyana, an Eldar shade-stalker. This was my first ever Inquisitor mini made out of an old Avatar I had lying around. Needless to say in game he was stupidly overpowered...

more pics to come..

Next up is my very first imagining of my Inquisitor. Lucius Drachtenburg of the Ordo Xenos. This is a representation of him in his younger days (as it were mine too!). He has since lost his boltgun, hair and respect for Imperial society...

Following some redesign and concept work, this was my second attempt at Drachtenburg. Much older, and tied in with Eldar doings, he still sports his old green carapace, and faceplate.

Drachtenburg's profile can be found here: http://www.the-conclave.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2189.0
I am planning to rebuild and paint a new Drachtenburg, so watch this space...

Next up is Gavroche Strident, your typical Western inspired duelist...

Plans are to reinvent him slightly, using this concept I found, and utilising parts from the bounty hunter model.. His background can be found here: http://www.the-conclave.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2189.0

Next we have Baruch 261, an arco flagellant in the service to my old techpriest..
His profile is also listed here: http://www.the-conclave.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2189.0

And here is said techpriest in a very much WIP stage: Tech Adept Obra Larrius.

Larrius' profile is found here also:http://www.the-conclave.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2189.0

C&C welcome!

kyana, how does he scale up? i have an old avatar in my bits box, since i got the forge world one i wont be using it for 40k, its still in bits so havent had a chance to get an idea of the scale, i imagine him to not be tall enough?

I like seeing peoples different versions of ongoing characters, Drachtenburg young and old is a good example of this. i like the older version the most, kind of minimalist but with an air of authority. like the face plate as well, i have a rogue trader planned with something similar, you have any game use for it or is it just for looks?

I havent seen slick posed "on the draw" before, i like it.

any pics of Baruch's techpriest?

seaglen

Many thanks for the feedback Radu.

As for Kyana's scale, he is a tad too short, as can be seen from this pic:

However, I plan to remake him, and with a bit of lengthening of legs and waist with some sculpting, he should fit in a lot better.

The old Drachtenburg is much preferred by me also. He will be redone and repainted due to my increased skills with a brush and greenstuff since these models were made. He will be having a backpack made from parts of the Thorian Inquisitor's bits, and also a shuriken pistol on his waist, to tie him in with the Eldar he studies.
The plate in-game serves as a bionic eye with laser sight. Imagine something like Kano from mortal kombat, with a glimmer of red laser emmanating from it once activated.

Baruch's Techpriest just been added above.

Next up is a WIP of Vibor-47, Skitarri Officer...Profile here:  http://www.the-conclave.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2189.0

I plan on giving him a pair of bionic feet (if i can find a suitable set) and also a backpack with techno-gubbinz attached. Plus a cog-bladed axe, a la SM techmarine...

Following on with my Mechanicus team, comes a concept work of Mech-Orderly Kobrei, an orderly of the Adeptus Biologis. Specialising in biological and cybernetics, it is he who created the arco flagellant and maintains the wetware of the explorator fleets servitors. His profile can also be read here:  http://www.the-conclave.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2189.0

Plans to incorporate the Thorian Inquisitor's body with pices from Gruss, the Eversor assasin and plenty of greenstuff.

Radu Lykan

the concept for kobrei is nice, am especially looking forward to his right arm, looks like it will be fiddly to make but if you pull it off  it should look fantastic

seaglen

Thanks!

Ive just found my old thorian model, and my is he a tall guy!!

I think for kobrei I may have to greenstuff some robes over his legs, to make a fully robed legs, and then shorten his legs by a few mm. plus lower his hodded head into the recess between the shoulder pads of the Thorian model.

Anyway, a slight bit of progress with Inquisitor Drachtenburg and a few others, after dipping a whole lot of stuff in paint stripper!

Below we have the basic components for the revised Dracthenburg..

And also here is a rough concept i had for a ecclesiarchy preist/misionary...

and his components....

and a quick mock up and concept piece for a sactioned psyker too... although i need a cherubael head to replace eisenhorn's i feel...

comments welcome!

and the priest mock-up...

Huge fluff question:

What colour are the robes of ecclesiarchy? are there any canon artworks of them? any specific robe colours for different members?

In-joke you won't get: Magenta.

More sensible answer: I think you've got essentially infinitely variable interpretations, seeing as the Imperial faith is different on every world, to the point even neighbouring worlds will often consider each others' local creeds borderline heretical.
You could comfortably have him in whatever colour, then decide what that symbolises on his homeworld.

However, general practice is probably something like unsaturated natural colours like grey, beige or white for lower ranking individuals, and more colour as their standing (and wealth) increases. Bonus points for using a Blanchean colour scheme.
S.Sgt Silva Birgen: "Good evening, we're here from the Adeptus Defenestratus."
Captain L. Rollin: "Nonsense. Never heard of it."
Birgen: "Pick a window. I'll demonstrate".

We can rebuild him...we have the technology or you have the bits, break out the glue and get sticking!  ;D

regarding the psyker, i am always interested to see what people top off their force staffs with, there are so many possibilities and they can almost define a character by them selves. (oh yeah, like the pose too)

on the priests robes, i like cream/off white robes with more red added the higher ranking the character. this is in no way official, as marco says go with whatever looks good and fluff it out afterwards.

ps, is that an ork dread arm on the tech priest?

Ah yes, be prepared to see checks and blanche-inspired bits and bobs on the priest!

@Radu Lykan: Yes, I hope to rebuild him very very soon. As for the psyker's force staff, yes I do need to consider this. I will look at the new plastic grey knights bits for a start. I am trying to go for a Dawn of War inspired look for the sanctioned psyker, and may even top the staff with the 40k sanctioned psyker's top (if this is large enough..).

The arm on the techpriest comes from an old titan close combat arm....back when GW mail order still existed...oh the good old days for conversions...
