Mechadendrites

Most mechanicus characters have them, and most of you lot use guitar wire to make them so the question is what size/thickness  would you all think is doable for one of gavs tech priestess model's, my plan is to add a utility and a manipulator mechadendrite from either side of her backpack and i want them to be fairly slim looking (as the model itself isn't bulky id like them not to be too)

For my version of Gav's tech priest I used the thickest regular guitar wire I could find (the goldish colored one in the pic below) and a bass guitar wire (the silver one) but I'd be lying if I said I remembered what thickness I got.  My advice would be go to your local guitar store, let them know what  you're using the wire for and just eyeball it (you can even bring the mini with you).

On that note, if you're heading out to a store rather than buying on ebay, ask if they restring guitars and if you can just have the throw-out strings.

No sense buying and wrecking new strings when old ones will do the same job.

Thanks very much for the guide its answered all my questions, come tuesday ill pop down to the local music store and see if they have any kicking about (conveniently enough the guy who works there is a friend of my brothers and so i sort of know him)

EDIT: As per marco's suggestion i headed into town and politely asked the guys if they restrung guitars and if they did what they did with the dead strings, they said put them in the bin. One disgruntled employee trip to the bin later and i was furnished with an array of guitar strings
