After I finished* my Haemonculus, the slight scale issue of my two previous models began to annoy me so I am looking to have another go. Although I could make an attempt at modeling a full body I really haven't got the drive/time to do so. So my question is...

Has anyone seen a model they think could work as an incubi. The last one I used could be a go but It was a little barrel chested and im not sure I could make him from 54mm to 70 that is really required.

Ive seen some that I'll probably use for a generic warrior type in the Andrea Warlord saga range, my only issue is whether then scale would be right? The base for the Haemonculus is 70mm up to his eyes which is good for what I needed but all the models are marked as 54mm. I'd hate to get one and find it really is 54mm.

*finished - It never really happens, plus when I look at old models I can't help but think on what could be changed/When it's holding the gun I want for another model.

y'know I'd never though of that Andrea model being useful until now - it certainly makes an excellent Haemonculus base. Great work.

Ta, I've pined after that model for years... ;D

I could do with advise on painting logos, I dont have a steady hand and have struggled in the past. anyone?

I believe a common piece of advice is the use a pencil to lightly mark the shape of the design, before painting over it, but I've never used it myself.

What sort of logo do you want to paint?  I use different techniques for different ones, but (and it may sound obvious) it's generally a good idea to plan it on a bit of paper first.  I sometimes paint it on a bit or paper or a spare model first so I can practice the brush strokes before I do it on the real model.  As always, keep your paint thin so it flows off the brush nicely.  Also, even if it's not looking great when you're halfway done, persevere to the end because it's easy to tidy up edges and the like afterwards even if they were quite wonky to start with.

Also, don't dismiss decals - I often apply them and use them as a guide to paint over.  But even if you don't do that they can be made to look very good by making sure you paint over the edges so they're not obvious, then maybe applying some highlighting and shading to the design so they're not just flat colours.
I like to remember things my own way... Not necessarily the way they happened.

advice*  ::)

Well I was going to add a Haemonculi coven logo but turns out the space I was thinking of isn't really right. I may consider trying a basic one on one of the skulls.  :-\
