Inquisitorial Special Forces
« on: September 20, 2009, 09:50:17 AM »
Some of you might remember my Inquisitorial Wards (The Gunslinger, The Combat Specialist, and The Fire Support Trooper) that I built quite some time ago.

They now have an Officer to lead them. Hope that you like it.

Sorry about the poor photos, I am just adjusting to a new camera.

Very nice.

He looks kind of worried about something.
I had better point out, that some of the clubs I represent are of a military bent.

You know what you are?  A plywood shark!

Very nice. Simple, but effective conversion and the colour scheme is good too. Rounds your warband off nicely I feel, are you going to add any more to that group?

That made me chuckle. think about the game setting, odds are he IS worried about something.

Nice use of parts, he reminds me of the psychic guys out of Statship troopers (probably the patent leather look) he looks very 40k officer-y. ie a bit Nazi

Good work on Eisenhorn's legs with the brace removal.

Very good conversion.  Would you mind sharing how you got the braces off the legs so smoothly?  Were you just a filling machine ;D? or did you use putty ????
Great Work!

Thanks guys, I am glad that you like it.

I have always liked the Eisenhorn/Covenant combination, ever since I saw the one tht took 2nd place in the first GD to feature Inquisitor models.

He does look kind of worried in the photos, but in real life he just looks angry. Really angry.

I'm not going to build any more of these guys. I now have eleven models that feature Covenant's torso, so I am probably done with it (maybe... it is such a great bit.) They aren't actually a warband. I have used them as NPCs, and occasionally as the backup for Investigator Voc.

The braces were removed with the careful application of a knife and a file. I actually managed to do it without injuring myself this time... The boots came out fine just with cutting and filing, but the trousers were re-shaped with putty (that is how I did the folds.)

Where's the fun in that? :P

I seem incapable of making Inquisitor models without injuring myself... kinda begs the question why I am so obsessed with the game doesn't it?

Where is the Aquilla from? I ask as GW have released an aquilla bitz pack today. also i can't place the searchlight thingy.

In the spirit of off-topic-ness, I actually managed to put a pin vise drill bit through my finger the other day.  It snapped, and the jagged end went through my nail and out through the flesh.  I actually had the vise dangling from my finger and yanked it out before the pain hit.

It healed really quickly, though.

They're not Kal's legs. They're Eisenhorn's with the braces removed.
S.Sgt Silva Birgen: "Good evening, we're here from the Adeptus Defenestratus."
Captain L. Rollin: "Nonsense. Never heard of it."
Birgen: "Pick a window. I'll demonstrate".

The fun is in NOT having to wait around in casualty for someone to stitch you up, all the while worrying about what filthy germs the other people in the waiting room are carrying, and what even filthier germs the hospital has been breeding itself. (No, I'm not germ-phobic at all. Honest...)

The Aquila is from tyrus and the backpack (searchlight thingy included) is from the 40K SM Devastator box.

why the hell did you use kals legs on covenants body man?

Because a) I can, and b) It looks good (no?)

It should be explained that Kierkegaard has about 48 different Kal Jerichos!

And yes, it looks awesome.

@ Kierke- I am very germ phobic this week. have to go to the doctors tomorrow and dreading it.
Hmm, not had a decent look at any of the more recent marine plastics to be honest but the search light bit looks very nice indeed. May have to convince somebody to get a marine army so I can pilfer nice bits. *calls George* :D
