Summer Conclave at WHW - July 2nd

Tickets booked up, friends reminded, should be another smashing event! I'll either be all ronery or with a couple of chums, but either way I'll be coming. I will be getting the 07:30 from Kings Cross, the only other person I see here who's getting that one is Marco - anybody else wanna 'fess up and join the party?

Good to hear you won't necessarily be disappearing right after the end of gaming Marco. Even if the Dark Heresy doesn't become a permanent fixture of these weekends, I'd quite like to see the evening socialising become a regular part of the Warhammer World meets.

Who's a confirmed attendee then? Gav, Bloodpact, Toot, Marco, Rob... I assume Kaled, Myriad and Holiad from earlier interest too...

I have arrived in Nottingham. Barring any serious accidents, the campaign day is on!

Letting me know which motivation your characters have isn't necessary for the sake of balance. Unless you choose to have your Principle Character reveal things in a game, none of the other players will know, and this will add to the desperation and lack of trust the Cold Trade thrives on. In reality I never expected the factions to be balanced - that would add an artificialness to proceedings. I hope l'm making sense!

The day is done! Thanks to the efforts of a number of Facilitators, the Cold Trade in the Carthaxian Sector is stronger than it has ever been, and it is doubtful that the sector will be free of xenos artefacts for centuries to come!

In the coming weeks look out for a full rundown of results and some fiction in the "In the Field" section.

Another well organised event, big thanks to Ruaridh for organising and everyone else who turned up.  I had fun and set lots of stuff on fire.  As always, an impressive array of different warbands.  Look forward to seeing pictures.

Sorry about not hanging around longer Rauridh. I felt bad about leaving you on your own, but absolute exhaustion had already struck and I don't think I would have been particularly sociable.

Observations from the day:
- New dice, please. I lost count by the end, but I got at least six 00 rolls (Rob and I got six between us in a single game). But oddly, they normally roll pretty well (by which I mean more or less randomly) and they only seem to be loaded to roll 00 when I go to WHW.

- Sister Rhian proved good fun (for me at least) in the one game I used her in, starting about the point she utterly disregarded the fact they were supposed to be sneaking in.
Of course, subtlety has never really been a strong point of religious fanatics with bolters and power armour. (Although it was the chainsaw bayonet and frag grenades that she went to town with.)

- ARGGGHHH, blinding flashes!

But a good day overall! Now I have to go and try to make my day in October as enjoyable.

Thanks Ruaridh for a great day out! I had a ball and I'm sure others did too. The few pictures I did remember to take ended up pretty crappy, so I'll try and clean them up a bit and post them up.

Did anyone else take any pictures though?
