Hallo all! I am a lapsed Inquisitor player, who, on having finally reached a point in life where all my toy soldiers are in one place (it only took a failed marriage to do it) has recently picked up my 54mm figures once more and decided to try and get back into the secret wars for the soul of the Imperium...

...and so I thought I'd find some like-minded types and get cracking! My collection is small (8 figures, if you include Barbaretta's cyber-mastiff) but I like it: two Inquisitors with the beginnings of their warbands, a converted Khornate cultist, and an Eldar ranger. Hopefully I will be able to add to it over the next few months, and, even better, get some games in.

Anyway, I look forwards to getting to know you all and learning a bit more about a game I have fond memories of from my childhood!
In nomine Imperator Dei!

Hello and...

WELCOME TO THE CONCLAVE!.

The Midlands is not a bad place, all in all, to be an Inquisitor player, as most of the forum's events are held at Warhammer World in Nottingham.
If you're interested, the next event on the schedule is the "Inquisitor Grand Tournament" on March 30th.

The name sounds more daunting than it is. It is a scored and ranked event, but that's pretty much secondary. Aside from it mostly just being about having fun, actual success on objectives is almost trivial to winning (and damage done to other characters is irrelevant - I won in 2012 without injuring any other player characters). You're ranked by the other players primarily on how cool, characterful and mature you were, so there's no "Win at all costs" gaming going on.

I recommend it. A lot of people's first event has been the IGT (mine was), even one of their first games in years or indeed at all, so don't let the name put you off.
S.Sgt Silva Birgen: "Good evening, we're here from the Adeptus Defenestratus."
Captain L. Rollin: "Nonsense. Never heard of it."
Birgen: "Pick a window. I'll demonstrate".

Mine was, and i came 2nd, which shows how uncompetitive it is!

Where are you in the Midlands? Im looking to try and put together a regular group to run through some campaigns together at Warhammer World.
Repent! For tomorrow you burn!

Well I'm convinced. I shall try and make the pilgrimage to WHW for the 30th of March...! As for where I am - the West Midlands, specifically Warwick. Is that helpful? :)
